This very large limestone fireplace, which is just under 4 metres wide and 1.86 metres high, was designed for a large Country house in Scotland . It is sited in a beautiful dining room and it replaced a poorly designed 20 th Century fire surround that was inappropriate to the style of the house. The installation was very difficult, as access was restricted, and there were complications with the structure where the fireplace was located. However, with the use of lifting tackle, and the dexterity of our masons, the installation was completed as planned
