The first step is to decide what sort of size you want. Some stone fireplace designs look better if they are in a large size, and others are better suited to smaller sizes. Once you’ve established the size of stone fireplace that you would like, then you need to decide on the style and design. This is a very personal choice: You may want to be traditional, or you may want to be contemporary, and there are countless designs that suit either.
